Lipchocks visit

Every year, since we moved from Philly, we have gotten together with the Lipchocks in one way or another.  This year was no exception.  We had a laid back day visit with running in the sprinklers, mud pies, pool noodle star wars battles, a bubble bath and a birthday dinner for Sarah's birthday.  Thank you all for coming to visit us!  As always, we had a great time.

Mia's celebration pictures of moving from one swimming level to another.  The swimming director came up to me during a family swim once when he noticed Mia and told me that never had there been someone to advance from red to green (beginner to advance) within one summer.  He went on about how far she has come and the effort she puts forth.  I was and am soooo proud of her!

Libby Bryant Michelson

Libby Bryant Michelson
9/4/78 - 5/24/16

Libby had a chosen death on 5/24/16. The funeral was held 6/12/16. The swirl of emotions still lingers. While I am relieved that her struggling is over, I wish there could have been a different, less permanent, way for the suffering to end. She was a very loving and generous aunt to Mia and Gavin and I hope these pictures can remind them of that fact as the years go by.

Foxborough Founder's Day

What Founder's day wouldn't be complete without a fire at the Brodericks?  Fireworks afterward at Booth park were quite hard to see as it was very cloudy.  Still it was nice to celebrate the anniversary of our fine town!

OSC @ Pride Parade

It all started when my brother asked if Ocean Spray was marching in the annual Pride Parade in 2014.  I asked around and found that no, we weren't, no we never have and we don't have a "pride" employee resource group.  So I started one.  No, you don't need to be gay to start a pride resource group.  I am an ally.  One year after the group's inception, we entered into the Boston Pride Parade (2016) with nearly 70 employees and their families.  With the help of the engineers at Ocean Spray, we also made a pretty darn cool rainbow float to pull.  Marketing got us all shirts and Craisins to give away.  Now while the weather wasn't perfect, fun was had by all!
