I am loving having extended summer hours so I can pick Mia up from school on Fridays. I picked her up this past Friday and found that we had a special visitor in addition to Vicki who was planning on spending the night. Alonzo was his name, he is one of the class stuffed animals that visits with children on the weekends. We got his journal and were to write about our adventures so they can read them out loud on Monday. Vicki was also spending the night because Mia has been requesting this a lot (and I think it is a great idea too).
Friday night's movie was The Sound of Music.
Saturday we went to the Fairmount Fruit Farm in Franklin.
Here is Alonzo outside the hay maze.
Hay ride!
This was Vicki's first time apple picking. . . ever!
For those who don't know, apples don't grow in Florida.
Hay Ladies!
Alonzo found a ripe Honey Crisp.
Gavin likes the low hanging fruit.
Mia took this shot of the adults.
Here is Alonzo back at the house eating lunch and the fruits of his labor.
