Our family arrived first since I have summer hours (starting that very weekend). We set up the tent and had dinner waiting for when "the boys" arrived just around nightfall. It had been wet/rainy in the days before and rained on/off a bit during our visit, so rain boots were definitely in order. We had a pretty nice spot (#7) because it was more private than the rest, had water/bathroom nearby and even a trail head just behind our site. There was no playground at this place but the beach was great and the loop trail had a great scenic view at the top. *sorry for all the details folks, but I often have trouble remembering whether and what I liked about a campground so this will help me in the future. Without further ado, here are pictures from our first long weekend (Fri-Mon) camping trip:

MONDAY

We stopped off at a random city on the way back from the park. Little did we know there would be a parade marching by (for Memorial day) as we sipped our coffee and ate our candy waffles (Jeremy, of course!) and eggs.
Thanks Matt for reserving such a great park/site. . . thank you all for continuing to make amazing memories for me and my family. I look forward to our other trip in July.
