Trip to CT (Lipchocks & Mystic Seaport)

Ever since we moved to MA, it is way too far to visit the Lipchocks as often as we would like. So we will have to settle for a yearly visit, when they are in CT, which is closer.  This year, my parents wanted to visit CT with us and since it was close to where the Lipchocks are, we arranged a visit to the aquarium the day before going to the Mystic Seaport. Sadly, Gavin came down with a highly contagious virus on the first evening and eventually over the next month all the other 3 kids would also get this virus (complete with high fever and everything).

Girls Only!!

Vicki and I have been friends for over 30 years so we need to have "our" time sometimes but when Mia overheard this she wanted to be included in the "girls only" time and we thought this was a good idea.  So we did what any good girls-only time consists of: swimming, movies/popcorn and Mexican food.  What a great time we had.  We'll have to do it again sometime (oh and Gavin wants in on the action too so we might have to do a Vicki, me and Gavin day sometime soon too).

After literally 10 attempts, this was Mia best shot of Vicki and I (it isn't easy to take an underwater picture, especially when you like holding your nose with one hand).

Summer = Lemonade, Cuts, Climbing Trees

When you think of the summer what do you think of?  Trips to the beach so full of excitement a nap in the car on the way home is a must?  Lemonade fresh squeezed and mixed with sugar you can still feel granules of through the bright-colored straw?  Bloodied knees and cuts upon scabs upon cuts with band-aids, which just barely cover the rawness of fun?  Climbing trees to become king/queen of the yard and perhaps even neighborhood?  Summer concerts in the town commons?  If any of these mean summer to you, or even if they don't, come along and look at a typical Michelson summer in MA.

Fourth of July

Fourth of July weekend started off at the outdoor pool at the Foxboro YMCA and ended up at the Natick High school for fireworks.  Fun with family is what the Fourth is all about :)
